LearnSquad is a free web app for learning to code in small accountability squads. This page describes what we actually collect and what happens to it, in plain language.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and password (stored and hashed by our auth provider, Supabase), plus the display name you choose.
- Learning activity— the squads you join, the roadmap steps you complete, your weekly check-ins (what you did, what’s next, where you’re stuck), streaks and XP, upvotes, and any reports you file about content.
- Product analytics — events like signing up, joining a squad, and posting a check-in, tied to your account id, so we can tell whether squads actually help people stick with learning. We use PostHog for this.
- Error reports — when something crashes, technical details of the failure (page, browser, your account id if you were logged in) go to Sentry so we can fix it.
What others see
Your display name, avatar initial, progress, streaks, and check-ins are visible to the members of your squads — that shared visibility is the product. Roadmaps and open squad listings are public. Your email is never shown to other users.
We send reminder emails (weekly check-in and streak reminders). Every reminder has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off anytime in Settings. We don’t send marketing email and we never sell or share your address.
Where it lives
Data is stored in Supabase (Postgres) and the app is hosted on Vercel. We don’t sell your data to anyone, full stop.
Deleting your data
Email hello@learnsquad.dev from your account address and we’ll delete your account and its data (profile, memberships, check-ins, progress) within 30 days.
